Relationship/ Couples Psychotherapy
Relationship Psychotherapy is for couples or sometimes multiple partners involved in intimate relationship. My role is to guide you (as plural) through the challenges of being in therapy by using reflections, questions, and different creative techniques to enable you and your partner (s) to take part in the process of discovering more about your relationship and how to bring better communication and more creativity, spontaneity and potential for growth together.
Couples / Relationship Therapy is suitable:
if your relationship lost the spark and you notice that you have taken roles in a relationship that you are not comfortable with. You might be repeating the same patterns, the same arguments, experiencing dissatisfaction and the spark and connection you used to have has been lost.
if your relationship is going through a stage of change and transformation either positive or negative; including relationship status (getting married or opening the relationship), birth of a child, relocation, changing in residence (children leaving home, parents moving in) or any other live events.
If you would like to learn together how to communicate better, not only about day to day life, but also about more meaningful things in life, such as your hopes, dreams and desires.
If you would like to understand and create an agreement for a relationship that is more aligned with your needs as a couple (s).
Couples / Relationship Psychotherapy is suitable:
if your relationship struggles and you would like to learn more about your own and other’s relational patterns and behaviours that you are bringing from childhood.
If you would like your realtionship to grow, to move beyond the day to day functioning and to gain a deeper understanding, intimacy and satisfaction.
If one of you have mental health difficulties (but is not in crises) which is impacting on realtionship.
